Helping Pets Heal With Artemis Lasers

Our veterinarians use Artemis Non-Invasive Regenerative Therapy lasers in our clinic as a therapeutic option for pets healing from injuries or suffering from inflammatory conditions.

Artemis is one of the most powerful therapeutic devices available for veterinary use, and the only one that provides both NRT and RIM therapy. This distinguishes the Artemis from other cold laser therapy devices available.

It is the only device that allows for limitless modification of the energy waveform to allow incredible depths of penetration, photomechanical effects, and bio-stimulation resulting in the efficacy of treatment.

While others can work well for wound healing and mild anti-inflammatory therapy, they do not initiate the regenerative healing process like the Artemis does. It’s also superior in its ability to create true regenerative tissue healing. At Sunrise City Animal Hospital we use Artemis lasers for cystitis, arthritis, pain, rhinitis, wound healing, post-operative healing, and stomatitis. We can utilize it for general practice patients but we are able to start laser therapy for urgent care cases same day.

Rapid Inflammatory Mitigation Therapy (RIM)

Whether from injury or age, chronic or acute, nagging or debilitating, pain dampens our lives and the lives our pets.

With RIM therapy, large bursts of energy are non-invasively pulsed deep into the tissues massaging them causing an opening of the lymphatic system and an out-flow of inflammatory materials. Simultaneously, the energy increases vascular flow and restores the normal function of cell membranes. This results in a reduction of inflammatory swelling and pain.

RIM therapy is tremendously effective for:

  • Acute and Chronic injuries
  • Arthritis and Arthrosis
  • Edema
  • Post-surgical healing
  • Internal medical conditions characterized by inflammation
  • Nearly all inflammatory conditions

Non-invasive Regenerative Therapy (NRT)

NRT is a non-invasive way to effectively regenerate and even remodel scarred tissue back to a normal state without pain or side effects. When cells are affected by significant acute or chronic inflammation the cell cycle stops. Healing either does not occur or occurs only through the placement of scar tissue. This is true in the case of post-surgical healing, traumatic injury and all inflammatory diseases; from arthritis and DJD to kidney disease.

NRT delivers tissue-specific pulses of high power but low volume energy of the appropriate wavelength and waveform to tissues that either need to heal or have been replaced by scar tissue. These pulses signal the same way a healthy cell would in order to turn on the cell cycle.

As the new cells are created, healing and replacing scar tissue, they influence the cells around them to turn back on. The result is a healing cascade that allows the regeneration of tissue in a way that was previously thought to be impossible.

Hyline cartilage, tendons and ligaments, muscle, bone, nerves and many other tissue types can be regenerated with between 6-12 treatments over 2-3 weeks
